Gina Czarnecki presents a screening of Spintex (a collaboration with Ulf Langheinrich), alongside extracts of Nascent, Infected, Versifier and Spine. The screenings will be followed by a talk by the artist about the issues raised by these works.
Czarnecki creates her works in collaboration with biotechnologists, computer programmers, dancers and sound artists. Her projects confront issues surrounding the convergence of biology and technology, and the possible corruption of the human genetic mix.
Czarnecki has exhibited her films and installations widely across the UK and around the world. She has been shortlisted for the Liverpool Art Prize.
