‘Whether you’re a football fan or an opera enthusiast, there’s really little difference; passion is the thing we all share.’ – Martin Firrell
This unique public artwork, free for all, features large–scale projections incorporating ten different languages. It’s Passion that Binds Us will illuminate the piazza elevation of the Royal Opera House, London, for five nights in February.
Described by the Guardian as one of London’s most influential public artists, Martin Firrell places text in public spaces because he believes art’s place is at the centre of everyday life. Strikingly visual, his text works are both highly evocative and directly engaging, addressing universal and often politically or socially pertinent themes and ideas.
